New Orleans Beads

Every year not long after New Year's, Mardi Gras celebrations begin! This involves lots of decadence, tons of delicious food, strong sweet drinks, and more beads than you can shake your thing at. Its all about "overdoing" it, and that is just one of many things that inspires us while living in this place. Being creative, having fun, and being in good company can keep you sane in the head... because all these beads tend to make us a little crazy!

New Orleans is a wonderful place to live and work as an artist. The city is filled with sights and sounds of good times, and its hard to walk through the quarter and think about how people from around the world have been doing exactly that right there in that quarter of a square mile, and have been for hundreds of years. It is a wonderful feeling, and the ghosts of many are still said to exist there. After Mardi Gras, the city is covered in beads. Beads draped in trees, beads hung on balconies, beads stuck on street signs and light poles. Beads everywhere!
